Description
I wanted to justify April wearing the yellow jumpsuit (as she did in the 1987 animated series) but it didn't make sense for a reporter to be going on air in such a wardrobe. So I put her on a motorcycle. The funny thing is that the motorcycle that I feature in this piece is based on an old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toy... the "Ninja Newscycle".
The blue on her suit is to match to blue on the motorcycle, but is also a nod to the original action figure, which had blue stripes. There are also white stripes, which is in reference to the 2012 animated series model of April.

Incredibly belated comment, I know... Really nice work.
I like the American Pie reference mentioned above (...years ago. I know I'm late), but it's worth mentioning that cityscape looks rather murky and dangerous. Urban decay, bad street lighting. No wonder April is looking around warily. This is dangerous work for someone who can't outfight all those ninjas and monsters on the opposing side - After all, it was possible for her to be a cool character without having to be a major fighter, back then.
I can't believe I didn't get the Newscycle pun until recently.
